I am currently a ESE self contained classroom teacher. I have kindergarten- 3rd grade in my classroom. I also have 3 years of experience with teaching 1st grade. I graduated from college in 2017 with a bachelors in elementary education and special education.

I am a current veterinary student and lifelong lover of science, literature and learning. My background is primarily in biology and the life sciences, and in addition to my veterinary program, I also work as part of a research team in comparative oncology that develops treatments for cancer that benefit both humans and animals. I love to help others find the joy in learning, and have tutored high school students in math, Spanish, biology, and chemistry for three years. I also have coordinated and staffed a free summer camp for under-resourced children in my area, focusing on environmental and natural sciences, so I am highly experienced in producing engaging and interactive lessons for a wide range of ages. My lab internships at Duke University, Brown University, and UNC-Chapel Hill, as well as college coursework, have further amplified my interest in biology and chemistry. Additionally, I work as a volunteer medical interpreter at Clnica Esperanza in Rhode Island, and conduct administrative and check-in procedures with Spanish-speaking patients. This opportunity, as well as the upper-level Spanish culture and literature courses I have taken at Brown, have honed my fluency in the language, and I would love to help you develop strong Spanish reading, writing, and conversational abilities. I am a graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University obtaining my degree in Environmental Science & Engineering.
