I have a Master's degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. I am currently working on my teacher's certificate and am certified to teach life sciences for grades 7-12 in the state of Texas. I have taken all the prerequisites necessary for teaching and have a probationary teaching license from the state of Texas. I know how important tutoring can be in helping a student improve his or her grades and confidence. I have dyslexia/dysgraphia and benefited from tutoring when I was in school. Hello! I am a current graduate student and I am pursuing my Master's (MSHS) in Clinical Microbiology at George Washington University. I've always loved biology; the subject is very broad and can be considered interdisciplinary (in my opinion). I could become a subject matter paralegal, can work for the government (CSI/Forensics), or I can work for a private company doing research or sales or drug development. The possibilities are limitless, one just have to be motivated and disciplined! I specialize in microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology) and molecular and cell biology, but I am still adept in the various other subjects that pertains to biology (general, evolutionary, animal, genetics/genomics, etc.). I look forward to interacting with such great students!

I equally enjoy teaching students. My earliest tutoring experience dates back to when I was 16, where I taught my native language German. Since then, I have tutored other subjects as well including biology, physiology, and chemistry to name a few. Having won several science awards, I know lots of fun facts to share with my tutees. I first began to experience what it was like to teach students while I was studying at Oregon State University. I was a teaching intern for Human Anatomy & Physiology for 2 years, and found it extremely gratifying and rewarding to be able to work closely with students and help them understand such a complex subject. I received my Bachelors of Science in BioHealth Sciences and a Minor in Chemistry in 2016, and recently applied to medical school. I am passionate and comfortable with any type of science, specifically biology, chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. I have experience with all types of teaching styles that can appeal to any type of learner, and am comfortable working with students one on one or in groups. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, and being outside, whether it be on a beach or on the mountains!
