I have a Master's degree in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. I am currently working on my teacher's certificate and am certified to teach life sciences for grades 7-12 in the state of Texas. I have taken all the prerequisites necessary for teaching and have a probationary teaching license from the state of Texas. I know how important tutoring can be in helping a student improve his or her grades and confidence. I have dyslexia/dysgraphia and benefited from tutoring when I was in school. Because of my learning disability, I understand that each student has a unique learning style. In the past, I tutored students from elementary school up to college. I have a love for science, teaching and tutoring, and look forward to working with individual students and helping them to reach their potential.

Hello! I am a current graduate student and I am pursuing my Master's (MSHS) in Clinical Microbiology at George Washington University. I've always loved biology; the subject is very broad and can be considered interdisciplinary (in my opinion). I could become a subject matter paralegal, can work for the government (CSI/Forensics), or I can work for a private company doing research or sales or drug development. The possibilities are limitless, one just have to be motivated and disciplined! I specialize in microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology) and molecular and cell biology, but I am still adept in the various other subjects that pertains to biology (general, evolutionary, animal, genetics/genomics, etc.). I look forward to interacting with such great students!

I'm a par time tutor and at safety engineer working at Intel. My areas of focus are science, math, writing, english, and Spanish. Learning has always been my number one passion in life, and I can't wait to share that passion with my clients. My goal as a tutor is to not only help my clients learn their subject matter, but also improve their confidence by reinforcing the value of improving on their academic weaknesses. In my opinion intellectual growth occurs when the student is challenged, not just when the student is learning something new. I prefer students in high school and college, as those are the ages I have the most experience with, but if you would like me to tutor your child I would be more than happy to help them grow. I believe that I offer a unique and effective tutoring experience, with very flexible hours and unrivaled dedication to my clients. Please contact me if you are interested, and I look forward to meeting you.

Currently, I am at George Washington University pursuing my MPH in global health. During my college years I studied biology and dance. I love learning and secretly want to be a student forever. I equally enjoy teaching students. My earliest tutoring experience dates back to when I was 16, where I taught my native language German. Since then, I have tutored other subjects as well including biology, physiology, and chemistry to name a few. Having won several science awards, I know lots of fun facts to share with my tutees. During my tutoring sessions, I make subjects applicable by giving real life examples. I am also strong believer in interactive lessons, by asking lots of questions and solving problems together. I like to tailor lessons according to individual needs. Look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.

I first began to experience what it was like to teach students while I was studying at Oregon State University. I was a teaching intern for Human Anatomy & Physiology for 2 years, and found it extremely gratifying and rewarding to be able to work closely with students and help them understand such a complex subject. I received my Bachelors of Science in BioHealth Sciences and a Minor in Chemistry in 2016, and recently applied to medical school. I am passionate and comfortable with any type of science, specifically biology, chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. I have experience with all types of teaching styles that can appeal to any type of learner, and am comfortable working with students one on one or in groups. Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, and being outside, whether it be on a beach or on the mountains!

If you are looking for a flexible, dynamic tutor for middle and high school mathematics, science courses or MCAT preparation, I'm a great tutor for you. I graduated from medical school three years ago and am now an orthopaedic surgical resident, and so I have a great deal of real world experience with mathematics and the natural sciences. I use my knowledge to engage students in the learning process. I understand that each person learns in an individualized manner, and I always try to work with the student's natural tendencies rather than against.

I am a life-long learner. I have always felt that there should never be a day that isn't spent learning something new. I have a passion for a number of subjects, and I enjoy sharing that passion with others. I believe that learning is a personal experience that requires discipline to achieve at its highest levels. To that end I espouse a structured approach that builds into habits. Once something becomes a habit, built into your day, it is much more difficult to avoid doing it. Habits are the small steps that lead to success.
