I'm a current 3nd year in medical school that is interested in pursing psychiatry (so hard to decide!). Before going to medical school, I obtained my MSBS. I graduated undergrad with a degree in biology. I have ample experience with medical school core, sciences, math, writing, and the humanities. I am available to tutor for ecology, environmental science, and microbiology. My favorite subject to tutor is ecology because it is what I do every day at my job. My teaching philosophy is to find a way to convey information that is tailored to how each student learns, since everyone learns differently.

I am currently teaching IB Biology HL and SL and IB Marine Science SL to 11th and 12th grade students at an independent college prep school. I have over 6 years of experience preparing students for the IB assessments in these subjects, as well as assisting them as they develop their IAs. My students consistently score above the global average in both subjects (my average student performance is above 5), with several earning 7s overall.

I am a firm believer in promoting professional development and learning in all those around you, and being prepared to learn at the same time. Many of my examples will draw on my history in aquariums, water quality and water purification and relate to environmental stewardship and conservation biology.
