My name is Lauren, and I am a junior Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Spanish double-major in the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State, University Park where I am a Spanish tutor, a biology and physics TA, and a grader for calculus and organic chemistry. I love working with students and helping them to understand material better! It is such a great feeling to succeed in school, and I want to help other students feel that as well. Outside of school, I love running, giving campus tours, and volunteering as a Spanish medical translator!

I am a graduate from Central Michigan University's Honors Program where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Mathematics. Since graduating, I have earned my Masters in Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology from the University of Virginia where I'm continuing on to earn my PhD in the same field. Once I earn my degree, I aspire to be a lecture professor for undergraduates with a focus on biochemistry and immunology. These subjects are exciting, but I feel students lose interest due to the mathematics involved. My extensive experience with tutoring and being a teaching assistant has inspired me to make mathematics and biological sciences more accessible and inspiring.
