I am a Mechanical Engineer. At the moment though, I have decided to change directions and pursue a career in medicine. As I go to school part time and prepare for my MCAT, I am tutoring physics, mathematics, biology, and chemistry, here at Varsity Tutors with my spare time.

I am a firm believer that all students learn differently and identifying how each student best learns is essential to his/her academic success. Therefore, as a tutor, I aim to specifically tailor my teaching style to each student in order to help them maximize their potential. Outside of academics, I enjoy exercising, playing basketball, cooking, and attending concerts and other live performances in the Philadelphia area.

I am always excited to teach willing students. My philosophy is that there are no hard subjects. Any difficult concept can be broken down into easier, more digestible content, based on how well a tutor can understand their students. And that is what I believe I can help achieve with any student of mine of any age.

I'm always trying to encourage more people to play with this free and easy-to-use resource for biomolecular art/education. I would love to show you how to use it in your studies (or just for fun)!

I am currently doing cancer research at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. As a student I was never been able to decide on a favorite subject because I felt anything I studied in school could be fun and much easier if approached with the right attitude. I am currently a medical student at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2013 at Columbia University, where I majored in English and Biology. After graduation, I spent a year working at a pediatric HIV clinic in Lesotho on a Princeton in Africa fellowship, and later, I completed my Master's in Public Health at University College Dublin on a Mitchell Scholarship.

I am a senior undergraduate student at Kent State University majoring in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Medicine. I have had experience with helping students in understanding difficult concepts in chemistry and biology as a supplemental instruction leader. I have had experience tutoring students at the elementary level with math and reading skills. It brings me the greatest joy to see students understand certain concepts after a tutoring session and advance in their education!

I'm also thankful to all the students I've tutored in the past who have given me the chance to grow in my ability to explain difficult concepts more creatively, and from whom I have learned about the art of helping someone learn for themselves--more than I ever could have learned from a textbook.
