Hello! I'm an undergrad student at Stanford University studying Computer Science and American Studies. I am passionate about teaching and mentorship, and find that the best way to learn more about a subject is to teach it.

I am currently a freshman at New York University in New York City, working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics with a double minor in Dance and the Business of Media, Entertainment and Technology. While I am available to tutor a wide range of subjects, my passion lies in Mathematics, Italian, and Physics. I have tutored students ranging from middle school to college age in various mathematics subjects, and love helping others learn languages, specifically Italian and Spanish. I am passionate about helping students reach their highest potential. Seeing the transformation in a student's attitude when they finally begin to understand a subject is the most rewarding feeling, and I hope to help as many people as I can to feel confident in whatever problem or question is thrown at them. I have a deep love for dancing stemmed in me since I was a kid, and in my spare time, I frequent the theatre, and enjoy the gift of another day on this beautiful Earth.

I have been teaching for 7 years (5 years in Mexico and 2 years in Houston). I have taught levels from preschool to high school. Nowadays, I'm teaching Spanish, as it is my native language. I love teaching. I think it is important to love and enjoy what are you doing. I also work as instructor for Colibri Group (independent contractor) Real Estate Express. I have over 20 years of experience training small dynamic global response teams while serving in the U.S. Army.I am best suited to tutor Real Estate Pre-licensing courses. Real Estate overall is my favorite subject because it directly shapes the future of our global economy.I strongly believe that both mentor and pupil can learn from each other with each interaction. I like to explore different learning approaches in order to find what best suits the individual.

Since graduation, I have been an active member/volunteer for SHPE NYC (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), PAWS NYC (Pets Are Wonderful Support), EWB NYC (Engineers Without Borders) and iMentor. I have previous tutoring/mentoring experience - I was a summer RA (Residential Advisor) for groups of highschool students; and most recently mentored highschool students on college preparation, including financial aid and the college application process. I am most passionate about engineering, the environment, sustainability, and Math. In my spare time, I enjoy learning, reading, meditating, running, gardening, baking, cooking, and DIY projects.

I am a recently certified Physician Assistant graduate who trained in the Greater New York City Area. I have a strong interest in preventative care and optimizing patients' health.Having taken the most recent PANCE, I believe I will be an asset to those taking this exam.

I am a master Industrial & Operations Engineering graduate (Lean Six Sigma and Supply chain management concentration) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Currently, I work at the University of Michigan Health System - Ann Arbor as a Management Engineer Consultant.Teaching has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mother being a French teacher, it was no surprise that I enjoyed teaching growing up.My career goal is getting my PhD after acquiring some years of experience and becoming a University faculty. To deepen my knowledge in the education industry, I actively started pursuing learning opportunities in these areas. I worked as a teacher's assistant throughout my undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Michigan, took an active role in an Industrial Engineering Honor Society (Alpha Pi Mu) in which I tutored and advised Industrial Engineering peers and was part of the University of Michigan Boxing Team and thought peers boxing Technics.In addition, my current position at the University of Michigan Health System has provided me with exceptional experience in this field. Besides working on different projects across the hospital, I teach Hospital staff Lean Principles as an initiative to increase process improvement awareness within the hospital and had the chance to teach and coordinate three student senior design projects.

I received my Master of Public Administration in Urban and Gender Economic Development. I have traveled extensively, working with the French Ministry of Education to work with children and adult English Language Learners to develop their spoken and written English skills. I currently tutor middle school students at a local after-school enrichment program. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English Language Arts and History. I am a firm advocate for the transformative power of education and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. When I???m not tutoring, I enjoy reading fiction and nonfiction books, photography, yoga and knitting.

My goal during each tutoring session is to make each learning experience educational yet fun. I hope to build a trusting relationship with my student so they feel comfortable asking me any questions or concerns they might have regarding the subject. The only stupid question is the one not asked!I graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Brain and Cognitive Science. As an avid believer in the importance of education, I strive to apply this in all aspects of my life. During high school, I participated in a program called the READ Alliance where I taught struggling elementary school students how to read. While in college, I provided homework assistance to Turkish refugee students. My support in education is one reason why I currently aspire to be an Occupational Therapist. The goal of an Occupational Therapist is not just to treat the client but to educate them on the importance of safety and the reasoning behind every step. I enjoy motivating and observing the progress of individuals as they strive toward their goal. I am also interested in areas outside of academics. In my spare time, I enjoy various things ranging from playing sports to reading. However, I particularly love finding the hidden treasures of NYC, such as, “hole in the wall” restaurants and undiscovered breathtaking areas.
