As a five year experienced elementary teacher I am excited to be tutoring students in math and reading. My specialties are in intervention and small group teaching. I love the "ah ha, I get it" lightbulb moment that students have when they have made the connection in their learning of a subject. I enjoy learning about my students as I teach since their personal experiences bring so much to our learning environment. I have high expectations and passion to bring students closer to their academic and life goals. I also believe that a positive growth mindset will carry anyone through life. Always feel free to ask questions for everyone, myself included, is always learning.

My pursuit of global medical knowledge has led me to Lebanon, Canada, and the USA. Each location enriched me professionally and culturally. I have completed a bachelor's degree in science, a master's degree and a medical doctorate. Throughout my journey, I encountered great teachers and mentors, and I learned from their engaging teaching style. In addition, I honed different study techniques and skills to cope with working under pressure. For me, tutoring is an opportunity to share my passion, knowledge, and experience with students, in order to help them realize their potential.I welcome the opportunity to work with you, and I look forward to helping you succeed in your future steps!

There's fun to be squeezed out of everything, even your biology homework. As a tutor, I strive to get my students to find genuine enjoyment in whatever it is they're working on. If a student can discover what is seriously interesting about the material, he or she is much more likely to succeed in the work. I excel at getting students excited and interested because I am actually interested in everything! My specialty is literature and writing (I have a thing for grammar), but I also get a big kick out of math and science, especially biology. I make humor a part of everything I do, and I am adept at tailoring my tutoring strategies to fit each student's needs. When not tutoring, you might find me writing questions for game shows like "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?" or watching old movies at the Film Forum. I also might be a LITTLE obsessed with my cat.

I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in mathematics. I have tutored many in algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, and calculus for nearly 3 years! My teaching method is very laid back and I am very patient and understanding! I always provide further examples to ensure that the student understands the material completely before ending the session. I enjoy teaching all these subjects equally, and I greatly value helping students reach their goals!

I believe anyone can learn and master something new, as long as they 1) have an interest or strong desire to learn it, and 2) are willing to practice patience, and give their talents time to develop.I'm passionate about helping students understand that by being themselves, they can absolutely play that chord, sing that note, or pass that test. *no matter the age* Practice, time, and patience is all that's needed! My personal teaching style is catered to the individual student. I approach each student with a sample lesson "plan", which is really just me getting a feel for how they learn. I then tailor it based on their level of skill, interest, and progress. In the past, I've taught concert and church choirs, as well as musical theatre classes and private voice lessons. The ages ranged from pre-K and up (to about the late 60s), and anywhere from 1 student to 150. Outside of the teaching world, I write my own music. I also love to read non-fiction books, and thrift shop my little heart out!To future students: Once you grow enough confidence to be yourself, and you learn that new thing, it translates into every area of life. Find what you love, give it your all, and don't give up!
