I have always had a knack for seeing multiple solutions to a given problem (even receiving a little gag award for our fifth grade graduation, titled: "I have a better way to do that" award). In addition to the natural joy I get from tutoring, I also enjoy solving the puzzle of determining which solution method matches best with how each student learns and thinks.

I have experience tutoring at all levels, and one of my primary focus is to incorporate dialogic discourse into all of my tutoring sessions. This is a special type of teaching philosophy which focuses on allowing students to reach the answers rather than just showing them the right solution. I believe that a combination of dialogic discourse, critical thinking, and interest is necessary to truly understand a subject well.

I am a graduate of MIT. I received my Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering. I now work at a biotech startup in Boston as a research associate. I love acting, singing, and traveling. While I tutor math and science generally, I really enjoy teaching biology, chemistry, and SAT/ACT math and science prep.
