Tutoring kids of many ages throughout my high school experience I tend to enjoy seeing other people succeed and master topics they didn't know prior. Currently obtaining my computer science degree at the University of Houston, most STEM courses come easy to me. Planning your work material on how you're going to present the material to your student is essential in getting the best out of them. Not only is it important to understand the student you're tutoring, but adjusting the teaching style to help the student learn the best is something I ensure when dealing with anyone. I want every student that I come across to be fully confident with the material being presented to them.

Education is the greatest asset a person can have. It's important, but it should also be fun to learn. Many people think education in general is boring when they have to learn about something. I try to keep it light in nature, using humor to help the student be comfortable, but also assist them in gaining confidence while they learn.Using personal experience tends to be helpful also when tutoring. If the student can somehow relate, it is easier for them to retain the information.When I'm not trying to help someone learn, I enjoy spending time with my son reading, photography, wine tastings and crafting. I am a mechanical engineering student at Stony Brook University in an accelerated B.E./M.S. program. Currently I am finishing up both of my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I decided to become a tutor because I love academia, and I use math as well as physics daily. After my first few sessions I came to love it, and I have been doing it for a number of years now. I have tutored students ranging from elementary school through college, but my favorite level to help students is high school. In my sessions I like to show students the reason behind everything. I believe if you know why you're doing something, you can more easily understand how to do it. When I have some free time I like to work on small engineering projects. I just got my hands on a programmable micro-controller, and I have been making it do some pretty neat things! I also like to go biking.
