...that every student requires a different approach. I scored in the 98th percentile on the SAT and many AP exams, and I've helped many people increase their scores on standardized tests. I'm an engineering student, so I use math, chemistry, and physics knowledge on a daily basis. I bring a systematic problem-solving approach to tutoring. I'm happy to bring my patience and experience to Varsity Tutors, and to help more people achieve success!

I love helping students learn and realize their potential! I know that learning can be tough, but I'm here to help students get the most out of it, get better at it, and want to do more of it.

The part of teaching I enjoy most is that moment when the light bulb goes off and a student grasps something they have been working on. Expanding a student's knowledge is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. I believe in keeping things simple and straightforward. I prefer to use a visual teaching style whenever possible. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, the beach, veggie gardening, and working out.

I've been helping students learn subjects ranging from coding to game design to improvisational comedy for 7 years. As much as I love teaching I also love to make people laugh and when I am able to do both it really makes my job worth it. Right now, I'm studying Game Design and Communications at RPI, focusing on how best to teach people complicated systems without losing their attention. This informs my tutoring.
