Today's session was dedicated largely to reviewing and practicing the concepts learned over the previous sessions; the only new item was the personal pronouns. The student practiced conjugating verbs of all four conjugations in the present, imperfect, and perfect tenses, and she also practiced declining nouns of the first three declensions with matching adjectives. We translated two passages from chapter 8 and one from chapter 9. I left the student with more verb and noun practice, and I also supplemented her with additional vocabulary to learn.

We did a couple of calculus homework assignments that involved evaluating integrals through integration by parts. The student seems to have a good general understanding of integration by parts and that he was able to do the homework just fine, except for a few problems. Those few problems required knowledge from previous chapters (such as the u-substitution method), which I helped him on. Then there was one tough problem I wasn't able to help him on. I told the student that he can ask his teacher about that one.

We covered concepts of area. Specifically, finding area of complex figures using different techniques such as splitting up the figure into smaller parts or subtracting parts from the whole; some figures required the use of trig.
