I have great knowledge and experience with children of various ages with over 15 years of experience teaching Kindergarten - Grade 5. I am very flexible, have a calm demeanor, and a warm personality.I hold a bachelor of Arts in English language and Literature, and a Masters' Degree in Multicultural Education. I obtained my P3 certificate, ESL, and Bilingual certificates from NJCU. Being a teacher allows me to meet the diverse needs and challenges my students could sometimes experience. I concentrate on providing lessons and hands-on activities that push my students to a higher level of knowledge and understanding.I also set clear expectations for learning and make sure students understand the directions, procedures, and explanations of the content. I have my BA in English Writing and Masters in Early Childhood(Prek-3rd)/Special Education. My first year teaching I was a special education teacher in the Resource Room K-5th grade. I am currently a 1st grade teacher and lead the Science, Math, and Social Studies curriculum. My role is to represent the school in a positive and professional manner. I believe I do this well as I portray an enthusiastic, responsible and reliable image. I also have worked with 3-6 years old in summer camp settings and children with emotional/behavioral issues.I look forward to working with children with any needs they may have. I believe I can learn from them as much as they learn from me. My goal is to not only have children grow intellectually but grow in their confidence and believe that they are smart, capable, and bright children no matter what hurdle they may face during their instruction time.

I love Biology, It is not hard. I enjoy helping my students understand that biology is life. I do this by taking my time to break everything down and focus on the foundations. I'm also a student, so if i do not know something; I make it my top priority to learn about it. :)

I always want my students to feel comfortable in their learning environment.I include exercises that are relatable for students in our sessions. I want to help students build connections and scaffold the learning. When learning a language, culture plays a huge part, so I want to relate the learning to Spanish culture as much as possible.In my spare time I enjoy painting, trekking, and soccer.
