Hi! I'm Melanie and I am a former 10th and 12th grade English teacher who specializes in essay writing, test taking (English for standardized exams, American and British literature). I am currently a freelance copywriter and author.

...learning is the key to success. I graduated from high school in 2020 with two years of college credits and am now working towards a degree in graphic design. Some of my biggest interests in school were theatre arts, speech & debate, reading & writing, and science. My favorite subject to tutor is English Language Arts because of the expressive potential that writing holds and the endless amount of thought-provoking literature that is accessible.

Learning and teaching are two of my favorite things to do! For as long as I can remember I have loved learning new things. It is my goal as a tutor to help light that same fire in my students. I am an Electrical and Computer Engineering senior at the University of Texas at Austin, focusing on Computer Architecture and Embedded Systems. I enjoy programming in C, C++, Python, and Java. I personally find the look on a student's face when he or she understands the material to be very rewarding. I mainly tutor Algebra, Computer Science, and the ACT and SAT Math, but would be more than happy to tutor other subjects as needed!
