I am a graduate of Bob Jones University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech Education with a minor in English Education. I am TEFL certified. For the last twenty years I have worked with youth ages 3-18 years old in school, camp and volunteer work settings. For the past sixteen months I have taught 3,500 online classes to international students. I tutor a broad range of subjects. I believe that every student is capable of growth and improvement.

Hi. I have lived in Northwest Indiana all my life. I live in Valparaiso, IN with my four, yes (4) dogs and my husband. I have three adults (children) two of which we married off this summer! We are now waiting for grandkids to start arriving:) I have recently started gardening again and I also like to make soap in my spare time. I have been working in the field of education for the past ten years, and I have taught at elementary, middle and high school levels. My favorite subject is math with grammar and reading running a close second. I have done quite a lot of remediation within these subjects and I look forward to working with you! -Stephanie

I am currently pursuing my MS in Speech-Language Pathology at Purdue University. After completing my undergraduate degree, I have been licensed as a teacher in the state of Indiana in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). I'm a Biomedical Engineer Studying Neural Engineering for my PhD work at IUPUI. During my years have I have had a few years experience in math, computer programming, physics, and biology. I really enjoy what I do and I'm hoping to excite people on the amazing opportunities that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields hold for the future. The focus I give on tutoring is building up excitement on what you can actually do with the theory. It is one thing to learn but when you can apply it to something you love, that is what allows people to excel. This approach really helps students retain the information much easier.As for myself, I like to tinker. I'm proud to say I have been able to recently build myself an electronics workbench at home for working on electronic projects. Currently I'm working on designing and manufacturing a precision linear power supply and a precision function generator to add to my bench. On rainy cold days I do enjoy playing video games and cooking up a mean meal from scratch.

I have worked in several different fields of nursing. I started on med-surge units and then to the operating room at a level one trauma hospital in Indianapolis, IN. I have always had a passion for teaching and nurturing new and aspiring nurses to navigate the health care field. I can help those preparing for their NCLEX the very first time or those that struggled getting back on track after several attempts. I can also be a great resource for those still in nursing school who would like extra instruction to make certain you are grasping the course. I love watching my students reach their goals!
