About Me

I am a graduate of both Georgian Court University and Kean University. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a teaching certification for K-12, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have been teaching World History, World Geography, and U.S. History for about nine years at a middle school in central New Jersey. Another endeavor undertaken by me is the founding and supervising of a district-wide peer mentoring program in which 8th grade students travel to connecting elementary schools to aide them with reading, writing, social, organizational, and study skills. I enjoy tutoring World History, US History, philosophy, psychology and language arts overall. I like to tutor in a team style. What I mean by that is I don't talk down to students. I do not simply lecture. I like to come up with solutions alongside the students I tutor so that it is a shared experience. Some of my passions include: listening to rock music, playing guitar, hockey and reading.
