I am a student at the Texas Tech University working toward a degree in chemical engineering. After graduating from college, I plan to pursue a masters in the field of petroleum engineering. I am originally a Texas native. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Hospital Business and a minor in French and Microbiology. I am excited to share my experience with taking the NCLEX, various study strategies that I learned while in a demanding 12-month accelerated nursing program, and my experience as a graduate nurse in a Level II trauma center. I am a big proponent of understanding the 'why' behind pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms, and nursing interventions. Trying to memorize everything is impossible and will not help you pass the NCLEX, however, if you understand the concept and pathophysiology, you can usually get the right answers and be way more successful.

My competitive nature had me checking in at the scores table in everything I could handle. Whether it was UIL acting, science, maps/graphs/charts, spelling, science, or creative writing, I loved to learn and compete. While in middle-school, I was honored by Duke University for scoring in the top percentile of Duke's TIP program which allows middle school students to take either the SAT or ACT after receiving instruction and prep. These interests continued on into high-school where I eventually graduated as 21 out of 550+ students. However, academics were not my only strong point. I was awarded track athlete of the year as well as both "Mix 96 Player of the Year" and "Linebacker of the year" for football. I was the President of the first ever student formed Fellowship of Christian Athletes on my campus, a member of student council, the national honor society, and took part in several sports and youth groups. On the weekends, I enjoyed competing all over Texas with a traveling basketball team I was a part of. Fortunately, this early commitment to excellence helped me secure a spot with the Texas Tech Football team. In addition, I received a merit scholarship from Texas Tech based on my SAT scores and had my whole first year of college paid for by local scholarships I was awarded. After four years, I received my BA from Texas Tech and continued straight into my legal education. In may of 2014, I was awarded my JD from Texas Tech School of Law. Every time I would see how I was helping them achieve their goals I would fall more in love with teaching. Now that I am out of school I still want to continue to be able to help people learn in a fun environment, so they can enjoy what they are learning. I have found my passion in the dental field and I hope to help others find their passion as well!

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas Tech University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood Education) and a Masters of Special Education with a focus on Autism (Autism Certificate). Since graduation, I have worked in a variety of settings with children from birth to 18 years with the majority of my experience as a teacher in public school general education/special education, Kindergarten-5th grade. While I have tutored a broad range of subjects and grade levels, I am most passionate about working with students who have special needs and who may not learn in the traditional manner. I love finding new and creative ways to reach every child, just where they are! Something I always try to do with the students I work with is to ignite a spark that makes them enthusiastic about learning. I strive to provide a solid foundation that creates a want for students to become lifelong learners. My hope is that every student I work with walks away feeling valued and inspired. In my spare time, you can find me immersed in a good book near any body of water, whether it be a pool, the river, or the beach.

In May 2017, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a Minor in English from Texas Tech University. At TTU, I enjoyed tutoring, as I worked both freelance and as a Master Tutor at the TTU Techniques Center. I graduated with a 3.94 GPA, and earned an A in every college math course that I attended.I enjoy playing the piano, playing basketball, and riding my bike. During the past couple summers, I instructed a bike-themed camp, and my campers and I rode over 100 miles!I grew up in New Hampshire, so I'm relatively new to Pittsburgh. I'm excited to explore this city. I really enjoy living here so far!
