About Me

I am a PhD candidate at Wayne State University for Biomedical Engineering. I graduated in 2014 with a dual degree major in Biochemistry and Psychology. I have three years of undergraduate research experience working in a Computational Chemistry Lab and two years of experience working in a wet chemistry lab in industry. My research background helped deepen my understanding of core concepts taught in my biochemistry classes. On the other hand, my psychology background has trained me to be patient, and understanding of cognitive learning across all ages. I have been successful in using all of the mentioned skills to teach family and friends. I have had nothing but positive experiences tutoring and it gives me joy to foster the younger generations interests in math and the sciences. Some of my best teachers have been my hardest teachers and they have taught me to be persistent. This applies for me as a teacher and as a student as I do not leave work unfinished as a student nor am I able to leave another student without giving them a fair chance at success.
