Teaching, for me, represents the chance to help students and peers find their way to new understandings. This might be as simple as a better way to find "x" or as complex as the next great thesis on Shakespeare. In the end, it's all about finding the heat in whatever subject is being explored.

Learning is a process. Learning should include examples of how you apply learning to life. I have taught all grade levels and most subjects. I find students learn best when motivated by meaning and applicability. I believe in active learning.
