Tutoring review by Ramya in Buffalo Grove, IL
We covered his next chapter using my AP Biology/SAT Biology book.  We covered the topic of Inheritance and Heredity.  We went over key terms, Mendel's pea experiment, homozygous/heterozygous, monohybrid cross, Intermediate Inheritance (Incomplete Dominance and Codominance), Polygenic Traits, Epistasis, Pleiotropy, Sex-linked Traits, Linkage/Linkage Maps, and Pedigrees.  We also went over practice questions that pertained to these topics.  Progress was good! He was attentive and asked questions when he wasn't sure of something.  We will review the remaining concepts next week.  He will also show me his old tests so that I can use the test format to prepare him for his upcoming test.

Tutoring review by Kimika in Buffalo Grove, IL
The student and I worked on frequency graphs (double bar, double line, root and stem, histogram), central tendencies, and range.  She already knows about mean, median, mode, and range, so we went over each type of graph.  Once each graph was explained to her, she had no problem completing her homework.  She asked questions as needed and I felt like she had a good grasp on the material.  After homework, we briefly went over box and whisker graphs.  I explained them and worked out one for her and she said it was making more sense to her.
