I am driven by a desire to help people succeed because I believe that almost everything in this world comes down to how we were taught. It took me years to learn to swim. I got the stroke patterns down early but it wasn't until someone told me to exhale all the way through not just into the water but as my face is leaving the water that I really got it. The same applies to learning in school: one key idea or concept can make all the difference.

I am an incredibly dedicated tutor with years of experience and education to help students reach their academic goals. Beginning in high school, I tutored elementary through high school students in mathematics and the sciences. In college, I taught a weekly class to local high school students interested in learning about neuroscience. Since college, I have continued tutoring students on a weekly basis in a wide variety of subjects.

I'm currently a student at Columbia University studying Economics. Before I switched majors halfway thru my sophomore year, I was a pre-med student. I love still being a college student because all these classes are still fresh in my mind! I've also been tutoring for 3+ years in everything from high school math and science to standardized tests and because of that, I'm confident that you'll experience fast improvement (not to mention a relaxed atmosphere).

I am really good at tutoring because I can break down the subject matter in a multitude of ways and explain it differently each time. Additionally, I am really good at helping students make connections between two seemingly unrelated topics. Lastly, I push students rather hard. I believe in giving them the toughest and spontaneous questions possible. I believe this will help them face any difficult exam question in the future.

I am passionate about programming, math and stats as well. My goal is to go into academia because I love learning and sharing what I have learnt with others. I never found learning new concepts easy or intuitive, so I always start from the simplest case when I teach.

I am extremely excited to share my passion for these subjects with other students. Though math and science can often be intimidating, I hope to show how approachable these subjects really are. Everyone can succeed in math and science if they want!

I am a Stanford graduate with a B.S. in Science, Technology, and Society and a B.A. in Anthropology. I am currently completing my M.D. at the University of Rochester. In July, I will continue on to residency within otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.

I recently graduated in June 2017 from the University of California - Irvine with two Bachelor degrees. One was in Biomedical Engineering and the other was in Materials Science and Engineering.
