Lafayette is named after Marquis de Lafayette, who was a national hero of the United States and France. The town has approximately 5,000 people, with a median family income of around $60,500.

Public secondary students are zoned into the Lafayette Central School District, and most students are expected to attend the La Fayette Junior-Senior High School. An enthusiastic Lafayette tutor is eager to help you in your private test prep instruction, whether the tutoring session is in-home or online. If you are falling behind, online tutoring in Lafayette is one way to potentially get caught up in your classes or test prep. Some of the best nearby colleges include Hamilton College in Clinton and Syracuse University in Syracuse. Lafayette has a surprisingly large number of activities for its size, making it an excellent family location. The Orchard Vali Golf Club has a beautiful full-service golf course, along with an excellent restaurant that pleases nearly everyone. The club's banquet facility is popular for weddings and other large gatherings, and your group could leave happy with the experience. Lucky Buck Fishing Charters will allow you to fish in the Finer and Oneida Lakes, helping you to get large trout, walleye, and bass to make sure you have an exceptional fishing experience.

A favorite yearly community event is the Lafayette Apple Festival. Themed around apples, you can be sure there will be an abundance of cider, pies, fritters, and other apple-flavored treats. Live entertainment is provided, typically in the form of music or storytellers. Horse drawn wagon rides are commonplace at the festival, along with pony rides for younger children. Festival rides entertain children and adults alike. Nearly 500 skilled craftsmen show up with beautiful, locally made products available to be purchased. And because it is the Apple Festival, of course, you will be able to buy apples and apple cider in as large of quantities as you would like.

The student and I are doing more test prep and he is hanging in there and attentive the whole time. He has started to ask questions when confused. This communication is key and I hope to encourage more class questions.

Tutoring review by Kelly in LaFayette, NY
The student and I continued to work on sample practice sets. She did a set and a half on her own and did very well. We worked on the questions she did not understand/got wrong and then went over formulas/concepts on a reference sheet I sent her. Before our next session, she will work on basic math concepts (specifically rules of exponents and quadratic equations), and complete another practice set. We will keep enforcing math basics and applying this knowledge to sample test questions.

Tutoring review by Yemi in LaFayette, NY
I helped the student review her homework on standard form equations. She did well on it. After she completed the homework, we went over slope-intercept equations. We started talking about it last week, so it was more of a review. Since it is a difficult topic to understand in Algebra, she was not afraid to ask me questions or do more examples when she did not understand something.

Tutoring review by Alana in LaFayette, NY
During this session, we began by discussing the current assignment packet. Once we finished the discussion, the student was able to submit her answers online, and she got a 100% on the assignment! Afterward, we revisited a previous quiz to determine where her difficulties arose. She will take the quiz again on her own and attempt to complete it without using her answer key that we made today. Finally, we looked at the review sheet for the upcoming test. The student will complete the non-calculator portion of the review this weekend, and we will finish discussing the calculator portion during the next session.

Tutoring review by Steven in LaFayette, NY
The student continues to improve! She scored a 98 on her last quiz. Tonight she worked on the triangle inequality theorem which she did very well on. We also practiced in finding the orthocenter which was very algebra labor intensive.
