The GRE is a graduate admissions exam that is accepted at thousands of graduate schools across the country, including law and business schools. The test was designed to assess how prepared a student is to continue on with their studies at the graduate school level. The exam serves the same role for many graduate programs as the SAT and ACT do at the undergrad level. If you take the GRE and perform well on it, then you may have a better chance of getting into your top choice graduate programs. That's why having a strong test preparation process is vital as you get ready to take the GRE. A GRE prep class could be the right fit for your needs.

You'll even have the option of spending some one-on-one time with your teacher when you need it. Thus, if you're someone who's previously found success in the traditional classroom learning environment, GRE prep classes may be right for you.
You can also sign up for private GRE tutoring. This may be the right fit for you if you're someone who values getting personalized feedback from their test preparation instructor. A tutor can set you up with a customized lesson plan and give you the guidance you need to make real academic progress.

My goal is to work together to pick up the pieces that were lost or are close, but not quite there: learning the way you want to learn and the way you learn best rather than having topics taught at you. For standardized testing: I have taken the special classes...

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I graduated Summa from University of St Thomas with a BA in English, and just wrapped up a MS in Data Science from Northwestern. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always. I believe that if a student is given positive tools and is allowed to understand the material rather than be lectured at, they're more likely to do well in the future.

...mathematics education, and increasing diversity in STEM majors and careers. Currently, I am working on a thesis in discrete geometry and combinatorics, as well as doing research for UCSF where I design machine vision software. I am well positioned to motivate and justify nearly every aspect of math education as being crucial for a future career in science, engineering or education. I bring this emphasis on real world relevance every time I teach.... The philosophy that I bring to every class and tutoring session is that it is going to be a period of high intensity training. However I assume that for the student, it is only the beginning of their training, and that for every hour spent in class in a tutoring session with me, at least one hour will be spent in self-study to completely master the topic. Together we lay the groundwork and the pace for that study. Tutoring is not be an extension of lecture, but a training session where I expect a high level of student effort, attention and creativity. My method is to quickly develop a casual but engaging rapport with the student so that we feel comfortable making mistakes in front of each other and are able to collaborate on a learning method rather than drilling problems. The aim is twofold: to help students realize the level of commitment, work, and intellectual awareness required to really master subjects, as well as to instill confidence that they are capable of doing so.
