What type of materials are covered in a Seattle GRE class?
The GRE is a standardized test that is administered in more than 160 countries throughout the world. Within the international educational community, your GRE scores can be accepted by thousands of colleges, universities, and learning institutions. Your GRE will probably be computer-based, with a testing time lasts three hours and forty-five minutes. There are three different sections on the GRE: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing.
First, we will examine the Verbal Reasoning section of the GRE. This section is presented to you in two parts, and you have to answer twenty questions per part. The total amount of time you will have to complete the Verbal Reasoning is one hour. The questions are comprised of text completion and sentence equivalence tasks along with reading comprehension. The questions regarding text completion may require you to choose the most accurate response for blank and missing sections of short passages. The sentence completion questions need you to select answers to complete sentences with missing words. You will have six choices per blank. Reading comprehension consists of ten passages for you to read and answer questions that relate to the writing, with one to six questions per passage.
The second section of the exam we will review is entitled Quantitative Reasoning and will last about one hour and ten minutes. Similar to the Verbal Reasoning section, the Quantitative Reasoning section has two parts and twenty questions on each part. As you enter into this section of the GRE, you will have all multiple-choice questions that are math and science-based. Data analysis, geometry, algebra, and arithmetic are topics that the questions are centered around.
Finally, the third section is comprised of two Analytical Writing tasks. You will have an hour to complete the section as a whole, with thirty minutes given for each topic. During your Analytical Writing tasks, you should plan your response before you start to write. You should use the time given to you strategically. You want to be able to communicate complex concepts with clarity, reflect your command of written English, and provide evidence-based support for ideas with examples and valid reasoning. A Seattle GRE course can help you develop these skills. The time allotment for this section of the GRE is sixty minutes.
The Experimental and Research sections on the GRE are placed in two different areas of the GRE. The Experimental section is incorporated within the Verbal or the Quantitative Reasoning sections of the exam. Though the Experimental section is on the GRE, its presence will remain unmarked throughout the entirety of the exam. On the other hand, the optional Research section is marked and shows up at the end of the exam, and you can choose to complete it if you desire.
What are the benefits I will receive if I take a Seattle GRE course?
One benefit of taking a Seattle GRE course is your opportunity to have access to a unique educational tool called the Live Learning Platform. This platform provides direct online access to your classmates and your instructor. The teachers are experienced in the GRE, so they can give you a comprehensive overview of what to expect on test day. Online instructors often use collaborative learning to review GRE material. You can use the collaborative learning technique as a communication tool to share ideas and gain their insight to help you make solid progress throughout your GRE preparation.
A Seattle GRE class can add another dimension to your test preparation. Once you enroll in the class, you'll learn about strategies for each section that could help you earn a few more points and keep you calm and focused. Your classmates have similar educational goals, which helps establish a comfortable online learning environment. Once you complete the class and take the GRE, you should have stronger skills that you can use during testing that organize thoughts, analyze opinions, and interpret different types of data.
Accessibility is a huge benefit of taking the Seattle GRE class. New classes begin every week. Another of the options that make the Seattle GRE class accessible is the option to choose the duration of your classes. You can choose from 2-week or 4-week class sessions. Since the classes are online, you do not have to travel to a particular location to participate in online learning.

My name is Daniel J Cecil and I'm an MFA student in creative writing and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington, Seattle campus. I have over 7 years of experience as a professional writer, and extensive training in expository writing and rhetorical approaches to writingin other words, I'm well prepared to make you a better reader, writer, proofreader, and thinker. ... My philosophy is that writing is best taught with the big picture in mind. Instead of focusing first on grammar and punctuation (both important), I help students work on their organizational skills, their ability to form strong arguments, and their power to execute those ideas with precision. Only then do we work on the frustrating task of editing. Contact me to begin improving your reading and writing skills today.
