We've had the BEST experience with VT! Our tutor has helped my middle schoolers math grades come up from a D to an A for our 8th grader and from a D to a B for my 6th grader. I'm beyond pleased with how she connected with my boys.

Tonight we went over more homework problems dealing with the convergence and divergence of infinite series. The student seemed to have a very good understanding of the comparison tests being used, including the divergence, integral, and limit comparison tests. He has a test next Friday, so I expect we will be reviewing a lot of this material for the test and for his final.

We started working on a new chapter covering hypothesis testing. The first section we worked on introduced steps to follow in the process and concentrated on just two of the steps, the null/ alternative hypotheses and the conclusion based off a p-value. There was also a discussion of types of errors that can occur from a wrong conclusion. I started by looking over easier, related problems and making sure she had a firm basis in these problems. She correctly answered the harder questions by herself. I also started teaching her the next section.
