Hi! I'm Pooja and I am a first-year student at Brown University! I am a pre-med student most likely thinking of a Public Health or Health and Human Biology major. I took all Honors and AP classes in high school and was in the top 1%. I've taught at a STEM academy and have done personal tutoring and from that I have found a knack for teaching students!

Melissa has served primarily as a middle school science teacher for the past ten years in both public charter schools and an independent school. She has a great passion for outdoor and environmental education, as well as social and emotional learning. In her spare time she is a fitness and nutrition enthusiast. I believe that people can learn anything if they work hard enough and have a good teacher. Relating subjects to a student's interests allows the student to be fully engaged and want to learn the material. From there, you can teach the student how to critically think through a problem so they can solve any problem or learn any material that comes their way.

I have a lot on energy when teaching/tutoring and believe that students learned best when they are actively engaged in what they are learning. I plan to create a fun online learning environment in which students are active participants. I worked for 5 years at Stoughton public schools in Massachusetts and have a Massachusetts state teaching license. Students will feel welcome and encouraged to participate and learn to the best of their ability.
