I am a veteran teacher who has been in the field for over 20 years. I truly believe in what I do and I love teaching very much. I have a variety of tools and experiences that allow me to help students become better readers through individualizing and personalizing to meet the students needs.

I am passionate about helping students learn math and believe that anyone willing to put in the time and effort can be successful at it. I recently received my BS in Statistics from Virginia Tech, where I spent a lot of time tutoring students in various math and statistics classes. I got my MS in Statistics from the University of Illinois where I worked as a TA for different stats classes. Currently I tutor, do freelance data analysis and work at a math learning center.

I am currently pursuing a PHd in Geophysics; more specifically remotes sensing in an archaeological context. Much of what I study involves physical science and advanced math, so my background in these subjects is very strong. I also used to work as a peer tutor for Virginia Tech during my undergrad with level 3 CRLA certifications, which has provided me with a lot of experience tutoring in these subjects as well.
