Growing up I had a lot of tutors to help me with school and I always understood how important this profession is. I was lucky to have been given very good tutors and now is the time to be an even better tutor and help others.I've worked with a few people over the last 3 years. I helped a lot of kids in my school with maths and physics. In College I helped my peers with the Chemical Principles course, as I have covered all the material behind it. My greatest success was a student in Russia whose SAT I made go up from around 600/800 to 1300.I got my education in London and am an alumni of Westminster school. I have achieved 11 GCSEs and 5 A Levels, 4 of the A Levels were part of the Pre-University Cambrdge course.i'm currently in the University of Notre Dame and am going to declare my major as Science and Business.I tutor mathematics from intro level to Calculus 2, chemistry (both organic and physical), physics (classical physics as well as some modern physics, like Relativity), English Literature and comprehension, SAT prep, ACT prep.My favourite subjects to tutor are physics and chemistry because of my extensive lab experience over the last few years. I love experiments and creating my own projects and I hope I can pass this passion onto others. My tutoring style involes a lot of interaction with the student on zoom. I'm able to draw on the computer screen and I can convey information very easily. I also build custom timeline which targets a student's weak points, so that they will be able to learn quicker.

I believe that the secret to learning History is to make it come alive. If you know the story you will also learn the names and dates required for testing. My job is to make those stories interesting. I draw the student in by using multiple modalities customized to their learning style and the nature of the curriculum we are studying.I have an MA in History from Marquette and 13 years of secondary and post-secondary experience in the classroom, both online and face-to-face.

I am a graduate of Illinois State University, where I attained my bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education and my master's degree in English Literature with a concentration in Literary and Cultural studies. Currently, I work as an Instructional Assistant Professor for the English Department at Illinois State University. When I was a graduate student, I worked as a Writing Specialist for the Graduate School at ISU, where I tutored graduate students on ways that they could improve their writing for both their classes and for their thesis and dissertations. I also hold a teaching license for grades 9-12 in both Wisconsin and Illinois. After attaining my bachelor's degree, I worked as a high school English teacher in the US for a year and a half. I also worked as a primary and secondary educator at an international bilingual school in Central America for four years. During my time abroad I taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade English Language Arts, as well as high school Social Arts, English, and History courses (such as Philosophy, AP US History, Sociology, Contemporary History, and Anthropology.) Though I have taught a wide range of topics, my favorite subjects to teach are English, History, Anthropology, and Philosophy. In my experience working with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students; my favorite experience is when I help a student understand new ways to make connections to a text they are reading, or help them in ways to improve their writing. I believe that to communicate clearly and coherently is to advocate for one's self, which can make all the difference in one's self-confidence and academic success. Outside my academic pursuits, I love traveling, learning new languages, running marathons, cooking, and being a mom.

A great education is one of the best resources a person could have at their disposal. These words are even more true in today’s society. I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology and Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University and obtained my J.D. from Emory University School of Law. I enjoyed helping students to achieve their greatest academic potential. As such, I have been tutoring students in addition to my job as a full time attorney practicing in a midsize firm. I am well versed with various humanities and scientific subjects, and I have a great deal of experience in tutoring student for standardized testing such as the SAT, ACT, and LSAT.

I am a graduate of The University of Toledo, where I received my Bachelor and Master's degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Since obtaining those degrees, I have continued my love for education by working with students in Higher Education as a College Admissions Director before returning to various roles in Elementary School and to the Elementary Classroom. I have tutored students both online and face to face, and I love seeing the progress that each student makes throughout the process. I am most passionate about Reading and Writing. I have always had a love for these subjects since I was a child, and that passion has carried over into my life as a teacher and in my classroom. I love using books to enhance a student's experiences in the classroom and in the tutoring environment and making connections to their everyday lives. I have seen tremendous growth in my students academically throughout the years and ultimately growth in skills and self-confidence. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, DIY projects, exercise, traveling, and spending time with my family.

I first began tutoring during my sophomore year at Umass Dartmouth. I had always enjoyed helping my friends with their more difficult subjects and thought it was a logical step to make that passion into a job. For two years now, I have tutored students in math, physics, English and programming at the university. When I return to the university this fall for my masters program, I will continue to tutor and enjoy helping my peers find their academic success.Outside of tutoring, I have competitively swam for going on 16 years and am currently the captain of our university's NCAA swim team. As well, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, working out, going to the movies and astronomy. I have a methodology that no student, no matter how much they may be struggling, is unteachable. I had three peers fail calculus their first semester, own that fact and come to the tutoring center for help the following semester. After working with them, all passed calculus this past spring term with no lower than a B+. Teaching is a passion for me and I look forward to sharing that passion with you in the pursuit of your academic success.
