Tutoring review by Hannah in Attleboro, MA
In today's session we completed our comprehensive review for the student's math final. Most of our focus was on logarithmic functions, sequences and series, and systems of linear equations. Once we started to review, she understood the material very well, but I would recommend more practice before her final.

Today we mainly concentrated on reviewing concepts for the exam. We went over problems that were in the student's review packet making sure she understood the topics. The portion of the packet she had done was correct, and there were only a few questions she had a bit of trouble with. By next time she will have gone over the entire review packet and will be ready to ask me any questions.

Tutoring review by Jessica in Attleboro, MA
Today the student and I continued to work on adding, subtracting, and multiplying by bases other than base 10. We took the extra credit assignment a step further and decided to record her working through a subtraction equation in base 9, for example, and then adding the difference to the number subtracted from the original number to check our work. This process was more complicated, and she found she was a little more challenged when having to explain how to check your work. However, after practicing this a few times, we were able to record another extra credit tutorial video that she made all by herself. By the end of the lesson, we had gone through various equations multiple times. After doing so, she was breezing through her tutorial while teaching me how to subtract by base 9 and then how to check our work. I was very impressed at what a quick learner she is and how well she did while teaching this material! I'm sure her teacher will be too!
