Reach out to Varsity Tutors to get started with Denver NCLEX prep. Students at schools like the University of Colorado Denver, Regis University, and other universities in the area can benefit from reviewing what they learned before taking the NCLEX exam. Nursing regulatory bodies use NCLEX exams to test potential Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses for licensure.
What topics will I learn about during Denver NCLEX preparation?
There are two kinds of NCLEX exams: The NCLEX-RN, for prospective Registered Nurses, and the NCLEX-PN, for prospective Practical Nurses. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN) is the agency that develops and administers these two exams.
Computerized adaptive testing is used on both exams. It assesses your knowledge and skills based on your answers to previous questions. It then chooses future questions which match your knowledge. Computer adaptive testing is designed to challenge you and present you with questions that are not too difficult and not too easy for you. One thing you should know about computer adaptive testing is that once you submit your answer to a question, you can not go back to it again.
There will be similar topics on both the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exams. However, sub-topics will differ. Topics on both exams are based on understanding health issues, the needs of clients, and fundamental processes of providing medical care.
How can I benefit from getting Denver NCLEX prep?
There are two ways you can prepare for the NCLEX exam. You can sign up for a Denver NCLEX prep class taught by a professional educator, or you can get private instruction from an educated mentor.
Since our classes take place over the internet, attending class can be easy and convenient. You can see, hear, and speak with the instructor and the other students through the use of video chat without having to leave your home. There will be no need to spend money on transportation or set aside some of your precious time to commute through traffic.
Attending class together with other like-minded students can increase your motivation to succeed. If you all have the same goals, you can help each other reach for them.
Attending a class is also great for developing discipline. Discipline is a necessary skill for preparing for an exam, but it can be hard to have when studying alone. It is easy to procrastinate and focus on the wrong issues when you don't have a class to attend at a set time. Your teacher can motivate you to review what you learned in class during your free time as well.
You can also opt to study with a private Denver NCLEX tutor. A private mentor can study with you at your own pace. You can ask them questions without worrying about running out of time. If you need more time, you can schedule more sessions.
Studying with a mentor who you enjoy spending time with can break up the monotony of preparing for an exam. A private mentor who understands the social, biological, and physical sciences can explain the topics covered on the exam clearly. They can start from the basics and help you clear up misunderstandings of core concepts.
A private mentor can work with you to help you practice your test-taking skills. On the NCLEX-RN exam, you will have six hours to complete the test. On the NCLEX-PN exam, you will have five hours. These time limits include breaks. Your mentor can administer practice tests with time limits to help you get used to pacing yourself on tests.
You can meet with your private instructor on our Live Learning Platform, as long as you have an internet connection. Our virtual whiteboard is a great tool that your mentor can use to view materials. You can also request to meet with your instructor in person if you so prefer. You can meet them at your home or another location that works for you.
