I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University. I received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting, and Masters of Science in Accounting. Since graduating I have worked in corporate taxation and fund accounting. I tutored accounting in Oklahoma State University's accounting tutoring center, and enjoyed working with other students to solve problems, answer questions, and break down complicated concepts. I am passionate about helping people of any age achieve their goals by tutoring economics, CPA preparation, managerial accounting, and financial accounting. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.

I am a graduate of Liberty University where I received my Master of Education Degree with a concentration in Secondary Education: Teaching and Learning. Prior to my graduate studies, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education, & Exercise Science with a focus on Community Health Education. I also earned a Postgraduate Professional Teaching license with an endorsement in Family and Consumer Sciences. Since graduation, I have built bridges in my profession! However, not your traditional bridge, but bridges between where people are and where they want to be while making every effort to create pathways between perceived impossibilities and realized goals. I am an experienced Instructor with a demonstrated history of working in the education and workforce industry. I journeyed into Workforce Development, after taking a break from the public school sector, where I began Career Coaching and instructing in higher education. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Human/Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Nutrition, and other Career and Technical Education courses. I am a strong advocate of education. Learning is continuous and is unquestionably essential for an enhanced quality of life. I try to communicate this belief to all of my students. I have been dedicated to helping students become self-assured learners since 2005. I have taught primary, secondary, and Adult Basic Education (ABE) curricula and worked as a learning support coordinator. I have lived on four different continents while working as an international educator and teacher for DoDEA. I am passionate about supporting struggling learners and helping students of all ages reach their goals to build literacy and math skills.

I believe a positive rapport between teacher and student is essential to building a successful learning environment. Students bring a wealth of previous knowledge and experience that should be utilized to enhance curriculum and empower the student's desire to learn.

I earned my bachelors degree at Ohio State University and I am currently working towards my masters degree in education from Cleveland State University. Right now I'm working full time as a research associate at a biotech company in Cleveland, but I've been tutoring part time since my early college years. I've also spent a lot of one-on-one time with students while coaching high school sailing and instructing summer camps.I am strongest at tutoring math and science. My favorite class to tutor is calculus, also the most challenging. I can help with AP, SAT, and ACT standardized test prep. I am also certified as an Assistant Lab Animal Technician through AALAS. I have a bunch of study tips, test taking strategies and general plans for success in school that look forward to sharing with students.I like to view school work holistically - for example, if we're stuck on the geometry chapter focused on circles, let's make sure we fully understand the preceding topics before we dive into the new one. Also, if we're stuck writing a paper, let's make sure we did the necessary research, outline, and planning before we put pen to paper. And most importantly, I try to impress upon students that sleep, stress levels, and overall wellness can be sneaky factors that inhibit students abilities to succeed.
