I was a high school teacher for two years before returning to graduate school to study American Politics at NYU. I love supporting and engaging students in content, and giving them the skills they need to feel competent, powerful, and insightful.

My name is Alan; my educational background includes a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York and a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University in Bronx, New York. I also hold the FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification offered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
