I have been a teacher for over twenty one years. I have a Masters of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction, am a certified Reading Specialist, and have an LBS1 Special Education endorsement. I love to teach students from all educational levels, kindergarten to adult.

Teaching, for me, represents the chance to help students and peers find their way to new understandings. This might be as simple as a better way to find "x" or as complex as the next great thesis on Shakespeare. In the end, it's all about finding the heat in whatever subject is being explored.

I am a math and statistics double major. I am passionate about teaching and have a demonstrated ability to teach a variety of subjects, including standardized test preparation.

I am a historian, currently working on my PhD at Loyola University Chicago. I have over six years experience as a tutor or instructor, and have helped hundreds of students improve their writing and score higher on essays and exams.
