I graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Government and from Fordham University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. I have ten years of experience as a volunteer and private tutor to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. I have tutored a variety of subjects ranging from math and science to standardized testing, but I especially enjoy tutoring in the areas of English, literature, and writing.

I believe in creating a specialized tutoring plan to address the particular needs of my student. My emphasis is on creative (and hopefully fun) learning techniques that engage my student and help him or her confront problem-solving in a way that best suits his or her learning style.

When I am not tutoring, I enjoy reading fiction, going to the movies, and spending time with my friends and family in the sunshine.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My emphasis is on creative (and hopefully fun) learning techniques that engage my student and help him or her confront problem-solving in a way that best suits his or her learning style.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would first listen to the student's self-assessment of what he or she is struggling with in a particular subject. I would then provide sample problems relevant to those problem areas and observe where the student is encountering difficulties. I would then work with the student to address the issues.
