I have been teaching the General Education Courses at Pima Medical Institute for the past 13 years. This includes teaching Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body. I am a retired Family Practice physician as well with a wealth of clinical scenarios that I use to add breadth to the teaching of the organ systems.

My specialties are math and physics. I consider myself a quality tutor because I always ensure a student understands the details of the current material. I'm very motivated as a teacher and my schedule is flexible enough to make accommodations for students.

I truly enjoy empowering students by providing them with the knowledge they need to be successful. I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Services degree and am currently working towards a Master's degree and am also working to earn a Data Science Fellowship for educators. I studied biology and biochemistry at the University of Arizona. Here I studied bugs, fungi, plants, and animals from population level down to the biochemical level. This includes a wide range of subjects like genetics, plant biochemistry, cancer biology, metabolic engineering, medical entomology, and behavioral ecology. I also worked in an aquatic entomology lab researching local populations. I plan on pursuing an M.Sc. in Biology in the future.

I am currently a third year physics student at the University of Arizona. I have prior tutoring experience, and can cover many topics in math and physics. Outside of school I like rock climbing, hiking, camping, and snowboarding.
