Hello everyone! I am an (almost) graduate of SUNY Geneseo in upstate NY. I majored in childhood and special education with a concentration in environmental studies. I am awaiting to complete student teaching and the edTPA this upcoming fall and finally receive my diploma in December 2020. Due to the pandemic, many of my plans fell through this summer but a friend suggested I continue in the field of education through Varsity Tutors! I want to use this platform to put into practice everything that I learned during my undergrad experience. This includes ELA 1-6th grade, particularly phonics and reading comprehension, elementary math and science, as well as offer my knowledge of Spanish, as fluent native speaker. I am so happy I can continue supporting students in their educational endeavors through this platform, even through these challenging times. I am a current Junior at Brown University concentrating in health and human biology. I am also in their combined eight year baccalaureate/MD program (PLME).As a PLME, I take all of the typical pre-med classes, with a renewed focus on the humanities as well, which entails classes in English, the social sciences and so forth.Although I have taken a wide variety of classes, I am most passionate about biology, especially those which relate to the human body. I find it incredibly interesting that so many things are happening in our bodies all at once!In my free time I enjoy coding, solving puzzles, being in the outdoors, and hanging out with friends.I look forward to getting to know you and working with you in the future!

My name is Luis, I was born in Mexico City. I am married with a beautiful Dominican girl, her name is Teresa. She gave me my two most precious gifts; my older son Luis Alejandro and my youngest Emilio.On my free time, l enjoy listening to music, watching football and soccer and of course, spending time with my family. I'm the head soccer coach for a local team "Under age 10" (U-10).I work as a full time as a University International Developer at local University.I have a BS in International Custom and a BS in Business Administration with a Major in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism. I also finished two Masters degrees: one in Politic Marketing and MBA.

I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts Technology from the School of Music, Theatre & Dance with a minor in Computer Science. I have experience in recording, sound design, music composition, and audio programming for various projects including film and video games. I have experience as a teaching assistant for elementary school students in engineering summer programs; a teaching assistant for an undergraduate course on video game music at the University of Michigan; and as the audio lead for a student-run game studio where I instructed undergrad students and alumni on various sound design and programming concepts. As someone who works in this field out of a passion for the power of audio in film and video games, I'm eager to support the learning of others by incorporating their own interests in music and sound! My name is Guadalupe Medina, I graduated with my B.A. in Public Affairs with a minor in Communications from The Ohio State University. I then attended San Diego State University where I obtained a Masters of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences.I have worked with students for over 6 years as a tutor and a teacher. I began working as a tutor while in college where I discovered my passion for teaching. I then taught High School English, went to San Diego where I was a T.A. and writing fellow. As a T.A. I taught classes for undergraduate students, and provided academic support. As a writing fellow I reviewed, graded, and tutored students in writing. I have also taught Spanish in La Jolla, and Elementary School in Nevada where I worked with a high ELL population.

I absolutely love teaching! I've taught ESL, Spanish and Italian to students ages 7 through adulthood! I teach Spanish and Italian in a high school during the day and then teach ESL to adults and young children two evenings each week. During the summer months you'd think I'd rest right? Nope! I take my amazing 12 year old son and we travel to Central America to help build homes during the morning hours and I then spend the afternoons alternating between a middle school and a high school teaching ESL. I consider myself blessed to say that I have a career doing something I absolutely love and enjoy!I was raised in New York and received a B.A. in Hispanic Languages and Literature from SUNY Stony Brook. While doing my undergraduate study, I concentrated my studies in the Central and South American regions. My Master's degree is in Romance Languages (Italian/Spanish), also from SUNY Stony Brook.When I am not teaching or studying, I enjoy reading, going to the movies, boxing, and traveling!
