Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"I helped the student with a two part review for his final. We completed the first one and worked through half of the second one. Overall, he did well."
"I met with the student once again, and proceeded to cover the remaining sections in chapter 3. Then we covered chapter 4. We also had some time to begin reviewing sections in chapter 5. She is on her way to being well prepared for the final."
"I officially met the student today. We worked on multi-step word problems, including multiplication and fractions. He can add, subtract, and calculate unlike fractions with ease. When completing a problem using multiplication, he needed more support. Asking him what is being asked and making a real-world connection was helpful. He does well talking his way through the problem as he arrives to a solution."
"I provided help and guidance in the student's schoolwork in math. We covered the concepts of multiplying and dividing fractions. Once I explained the concept, he figured it out quickly. He did struggle with how to simplify before the multiplying or dividing by cross-canceling. I helped him with a few practice problems, and he quickly figured it out. He applied the concepts by doing some more practice problems in his textbook."
"I reviewed adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators with the student. We also converted fractions to decimals. We reviewed last week's lesson, as well, on multiplying and dividing fractions."
"I reviewed many of her quizzes and tests with the student. Then, we reviewed many problems involving derivatives, including power rule, product rule, quotient rule, trigonometry rules, log/ ln rules, exponential rules, inverse trigonometric rules, and the chain rule. We did much practice, and she is feeling more confident."
