Discuss their interests, what motivates them, and their goals. What do they want to get out of tutoring?... Guide them through questions without telling them the answer, gradually removing supports with each practice until they are able to complete the task on their own.

I don't only want to teach everyone how to solve problems, but more importantly also make them laugh. Helping someone else shouldn't be a "formal" thing, rather something casual so the whole process goes smoothly.
