I am a recent, young, diverse, cultured, and outgoing graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in New Brunswick. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering with minors in both Mathematics and Economics. With over ten years of tutoring experience, I've worked with students of all ages across all subject areas. I enjoy teaching students in the subjects of Math and Science most, as I personally believe these are the corner stones of our society’s future. I've volunteered with many inner-city schools and enjoyed helping students grow both academically and personally.
My tutoring methods resemble the often-heard analogy of "teaching one to fish" rather than "giving them a fish". In addition to covering course material, I also spend a lot of time emphasizing the critical foundations of study skills and the foundations of work ethic. Most importantly, I believe that the key ingredient to success lies in fostering an environment where students are having fun and laughing, ultimately promoting optimal learning.
I enjoy an array of pastimes which include, but are not limited to, playing sports, reading, writing, camping, hiking, listening to/playing music, community service, movies, smiling, cooking, eating, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
