Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on a take-home assignment dealing with solving, simplifying, and rationalizing complex fractions."
"Reviewed quadratic equation and practiced French oral exam, both of which he seemed to have a very good handle on."
"We reviewed rational expressions for his test this week, focusing on factoring. We did a lot of practice with subtracting rational expressions."
"We reviewed identifying domains and range given a set of numbers. We also determined if the set of numbers were discreet or had constancy. We worked on writing the domain and ranges using inequalities to describe the set of numbers. The student did well and is grasping the concepts."
"We went over the student's worksheet from Algebra class. We covered drawing piecewise graphs. At the end of the session, he was able to graph piecewise graphs on a given domain. He had trouble understanding the meaning of domains, so I had to go back to elementary algebra on inequalities and domains vs ranges. I will repeat this topic with him to ensure he got it."
"Today we worked on solving for a variable when an equation has two variables. With this information, we worked on rewriting various equations. We then worked on the student's homework, which consisted of rewriting formulas and solving for a particular variable."
