I recently retired after 30 years in journalism; 26-1/2 years as editor of two local newspapers. I have mentored and coached many reporters and writers over the years. After graduating from college, my career started as a middle school teacher. I also taught English as a second language in Japan and Minnesota before gravitating to journalism.
