How can Anatomy tutoring help you succeed?

If you're seeking a career in biological science, clinical research, medical science, molecular and cellular biology, or natural science, you are probably in the process of taking an anatomy course. Anatomy is simply the study of the structure of living organisms. It mostly deals with anatomical structures of the human body, including cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems. While studying this subject, you gain a better understanding of how and why the body works in the way that it does. While it is a very interesting topic to study, it may definitely be a bit confusing to those who have difficulties understanding descriptive anatomical terms, such as atrial, ventral, postural, cranial, caudal, superior, inferior, proximal, and lateral. If you are struggling with comprehending these terms, Varsity Tutors may help you find a skilled, independent tutor near Salt Lake City who may guide you on the path toward anatomy understanding.

Varsity Tutors' educational directors may help you connect with a professional anatomy tutor in Salt Lake City, UT. Your tutor may encourage you on to higher levels of thinking, increase your motivation, increase your ability to manage and adapt your own study and learning strategies, increase your subject-related knowledge, and increase your overall understanding of anatomy. Working one-on-one with a professional and friendly tutor might help you perform better on your exams and in your coursework. It might also increase your confidence and attitude toward learning the subject of anatomy.

Session Summaries by Anatomy Tutors

Anatomy Tutoring review by Benjamin in Salt Lake City, UT
The student and I primarily worked with the Central Limit Theorem, and its attendant inferences and tools. She demonstrated mastery and understanding of calculating Z scores and determining probability under the curve for population parameters. The student, by the end of our session, was able to interpret words problems that asked for confidence testing and confidence interval approaches to data analysis. We also discussed t-tests and determining the required study size from the desired width of the margin of error.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Mason in Salt Lake City, UT
The student is very eager to understand this material. We started reviewing vector spaces and inner products. We moved on to eigenvalues and Eigen spaces, and I made the bridge from vectors in R3 to functions in Hilbert space. I showed the translation between function notation and bra-ket notation. I sent the student some supplementary material to help with the homework.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Tyler in Salt Lake City, UT
The student has a test Tuesday, so we covered classification and taxonomy for the majority of the time. Specifically, we looked at the various levels of categorization and characteristics of organisms in each level. Near the end, we started to go over circulation and respiration in different animals. She needed help with the names of the levels due to some names being very similar (charophyte vs chlorophyte). Like normal, she was very open and receptive to instruction and had a good attitude towards the material. I mentioned using mnemonics to learn the levels of classification. This weekend I'll email her to see how her test went so I can modify my strategy if need be.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Nagapoornima in Salt Lake City, UT
Today's session was good, we went over some very important concepts that I think will help the student understand a lot of other concepts. We started off reviewing and clarifying some questions about ionization energies. I think she had a better understanding of the material this time around, but those concepts just take practice. We will continue to incorporate them in future sessions. We finished off the lesson by introducing Lewis dot structures, octet rules, and bonding. The student got these concepts down right away without any trouble.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Kelsey in Salt Lake City, UT
The student did a lot of practice homework problems over the weekend and so in today's session we worked through some of the problems that he got wrong. He has an exam this Wednesday, and I think that this session has helped him find out which topics he needs to review for the exam. I think that he should spend some time reviewing the rules for drawing Lewis structures and resonance structures, and also determining geometric structures.

Anatomy Tutoring review by Miranda in Salt Lake City, UT
The student had a previous test to review. We went through it together, making sure she understood how to set up the problems in the x and y directions. We covered projectile motion, as well as springs and conservation of momentum.
