Hi, my name is Julia and I currently live in Ann Arbor, Michigan while attending the University of Michigan. I am a pre-med student, a lover of social and natural sciences, a dancer, and I have one cat named Carmen.

Caitlyn joins Varsity Tutors with over nine years of tutoring experience. She covers a wide range of subjects, including geometry, graduate-level English writing, and Spanish language. She takes pride in helping students build confidence and self-sufficiency in their academic pursuits.

I currently hold a 6-12 Social Studies; K-12 Educational Leadership certification. I hold a Masters in Education. I taught Middle School Social Studies for 7 years, High School US History, Civics & Economics for 1 year and tutored in ELA/Reading for 8 years. I am currently an administrator in a PK-8 building. I believe in incorporating real world examples to help students understand the information they are seeking to master.

I am a Graduate of the University of Michigan with a major in Film & Communication. Over the past couple of years, I have had the wonderful opportunities to teach in Detroit, South Africa, and Morocco.
