I am an undergraduate at Yale University pursuing a double major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics and Humanities. I am passionate about helping the students I tutor master whatever material gives them the most trouble, helping them build the confidence in themselves and their abilities that will serve them long-term. I believe that education should be eye-opening and mind-expanding. As such, my teaching philosophy centers on the idea that the best kind of learning happens when the student understands the material conceptually from the ground up, instead of attempting to memorize specific problems or instances. This method ensures that when presented with a diversity of questions the student is sure in their ability to adapt to each one and confident in their understanding of what underpins the specific instances.

I am comfortable tutoring in a wide variety of subjects, from ACT preparation, to middle school and high school mathematics, to AP economics and more. Although I enjoy tutoring students in most any subject, my favorite areas are probably ACT/SAT test preparation, mathematics, English, and writing.

When I am not tutoring, I love to spend time in the outdoors, practice art, stay active, and read great books.
