I recently returned to Portland after spending the past two years in Mozambique teaching 11th and 12th grade physics and computers with the U.S. Peace Corps. Prior to moving abroad, I graduated with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Oregon State University. While at OSU, I participated in two six-month engineering internships in the Portland area which gave me valuable opportunities to apply my technical skills and learn more about water treatment, infrastructure design, operation and management. As a tutor and mentor, I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and overcome any obstacles that are in their way of academic success. Math and physics are two of my preferred tutoring subjects, and I enjoy watching students get to a point where they realize that these challenging subjects aren't so daunting after all! In my free time I enjoy being outside running, biking, or playing in the snow up at the mountain.
