Hello! My name is Sarah Clausen and I am a former elementary educator in the San Antonio area. I taught 1st grade for two years, have had experience tutoring and homeschooling kids grades K-6. My passion and experience is teaching emergent readers and writers (K-2) but I have really enjoyed working with older elementary on study skills, history, writing, and reading.

I want all my students to be successful whether they are preschoolers with special needs or college students. I like to find ways to make the material relate to real life and be exciting, because I believe that learning should be fun. I believe that if students can have fun and relate to the material they are more likely to retain the information.

I have extensive experience working with and helping students overcome any deficit or difficulty. I am comfortable with all ages. I did not believe in a 'math brain', but I do believe that each student just needs the right example to make the subject make sense.
