I am a Junior at Rutgers University studying computer science. During my sophomore and junior years of high school, I authored the first Java programming class in the public library. I taught children aged 9 through 13 the basics of computer programming and writing applications in Java. In addition to computer science, I am passionate about teaching math and am a firm believer that teaching should be fun and interactive to be effective. I am well-versed in all math subjects through Calculus 2.

I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Maryland in May 2023. I would like to use my degree in a field that involves education, children, and studying child cognition. I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, and math has always been a passion of mine. Thus, I prefer to tutor children in math, but I am qualified to tutor in subjects such as Spanish, science, and English. I find it very rewarding to help students learn and overcome struggles they have in school. Their smiles alone make the work worthwhile to me. I believe education should be available to everyone regardless of age, sex, or socio-economic status, and I utilize learning identification to impart wisdom in the most effective way possible for each student's needs. I love that magical moment when the student "gets it." My spare time finds me in nature for hikes and trail runs, and I can regularly be found on an obstacle course (Spartan, Tough Mudder, SISU, etc.) or doing an extreme endurance events either racing or supporting friends. While I did do some volunteer tutoring for Algebra I and II in high school, my more formal work experiences include teaching Math and English at Kumon to mostly primary and middle school kids and working as a Undergraduate TA at ASU to assist college freshmen with EEE 120 (Digital Circuit Design).
