I'm currently a student at Rutgers University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Growing up, I've lived in India for 8 years and that is where I started tutoring. I started in high school and I was inspired by my personal experiences of feeling unable to achieve my academic goals. Once I overcame that hurdle, I volunteered to help students who were facing the same difficulty in my gated community. I understood what that feeling was like and I always had desire to help others. My main focus is on Mathematics and I always try to come up with fun ways to make the subject more interesting. I'm a firm believer that education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it, and I try to impart that love of learning and interest to my students. Apart from school, I enjoy going hiking, reading a good book and baking sweet treats.

I am a proud graduate of Lee University, receiving my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration with a minor in biblical studies. During my time there, I traveled extensively and was involved in several social service clubs, campus choir, and I also volunteered my time at the local Boys and Girls club to assist the kiddos with their homework assignments. Upon graduation, I began a career as a financial professional, where I advised families, individuals, and businesses by taking complex (and often confusing) financial subject matter and breaking them down into simple steps. I've always been passionate about learning, and I believe any subject (yes, even the "boring" ones) if given proper care and attention can bring a profound sense of achievement and meaning to our lives. I obtained my BA in History from the Honors College at the University at Buffalo and a Masters Degree in Education from D'Youville College. I am finishing my certification in E-Learning from George Mason University. I have nearly a decade of experience tutoring students with seven years of full-time teaching experience at all ranges of skill, need and interest. I tutor all levels of history, political science and economics and have taught such courses at all levels. I have a particular interest in tutoring economics but welcome all students in my areas of tutoring.My tutoring style is learner-centered and rooted in forming good working relationships with the student. My main motivator for pursuing this specific career path is entirely due to my tutoring experiences thus far. I have worked with students of all ages and each time has been rewarding in a different manner. The most rewarding part of the tutoring and teaching experience, especially for English, is watching an idea and a concept develop.
