I have four years of full-time classroom teaching experience, but many more as a tutor. I started tutoring when I was in the sixth grade, and I now work with students from grades six through college. I also teach SAT and ACT preparation courses. While my favorite subject to teach is Social Studies, my Math and English students have gone on to great success as well. I know that every student has a unique learning style and success is often a matter of finding the right motivation. When I'm not teaching, my favorite thing to do is read to my own children.

I graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School in 2010 and Temple University in 2018. I am currently seeking employment in behavioral health. I have 3 years tutoring experience in an after-school learning center. The children there were mostly grades 2-9. I seek to teach in a logical yet interactive manner that promotes a strong grasp of basic concepts in order to solve problems of any level. If I find that my teaching is not fully effective, I will adjust my style as much as needed for students to learn. Patience and reasoning come naturally to me, as if I was born with them. This is why math is my strong point. I have received a great deal of extracurricular training on test-taking whether for the SATs or less predictable forms of testing. I have a further 2 years tutoring mostly SAT through Varsity. My students have improved their scores following my tutoring by 200-400 points depending on how much practice they allotted outside of tutoring to review our notes and methods.

I received my education from the University of Florida, where I am currently an undergraduate student working on obtaining my bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering! Over the last few years, I have gained great experience in tutoring my peers in the areas of math and science. I love to focus on the details of a problem when teaching, so that my student will be able to fully comprehend any problem that rises before him or her!I currently tutor all levels of Algebra, from Pre-Algebra to Algebra 3/4, multiple levels of Calculus, from Pre-Calculus to Calculus III, Chemistry, Engineering Statics, and Spanish. My favorite subjects to tutor, however, are Algebra II and Calculus III, because these are often the most challenging subjects in a student's journey to higher education! My teaching philosophy is centered around working hard while also enjoying a side of fun. Everything can be accomplished with this philosophy while studying! I love preparing students for the obstacles they might face while pursuing academic excellence. I will always make my utmost effort to make sure that my students understand the concepts they are learning at school. Some classes may be tough. However, with hard work anything can be accomplished. I look forward to being of service to you and to helping you understand all the concepts you may be having trouble with!Outside of my academia I love to fly RC quadcopters, fold origami, draw, and paint! Oh, and I definitely love to build LEGOs!

Hi! My name is Albert, I'm a chemistry enthusiast with a BS in chemistry and a minor in math. I've been a tutor throughout my educational career and I have to be honest I really enjoy it. I enjoy understanding how people learn and will often adapt my teaching style to better fit you. I like to keep the sessions light hearted because learning should be fun and not a grueling 3 hr interrogation of stuff your already having trouble with. So lets chat about chemistry and math and soon after that you'll learn that this stuff is actually pretty easy. I hope to work with you soon. Catch you later. Albert

I graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and in Mathematics. I earned my Master's degree in Mathematics for Educators with a focus on Secondary Education from Webster University in 2014. Since my graduation I have taught high school mathematics in both the public and private school environments, as well as continuing to tutor in my spare time. In the past, I have worked with students in a variety of subjects, most focusing on mathematics (pre-Algebra through Calculus and Statistics) and standardized test preparation. In my role as a tutor, my goal is two-fold: to review and reinforce previously taught material, and to prepare my students for future topics.

I am currently a strategy analyst as MasterCard. I have tutored for the past 4-5 years to both college students as well as local Miami high school students. I love working with students because engaging in the process of educating individuals is highly motivational to me and due to that I can't help but motivate my students to learn as well. I believe my experiences have allowed me to become rather successful in tutoring and have taught me how to effectively adapt to various students and how to properly teach them difficult concepts. More so, I have learned how to motivate students who may feel discouraged and have also learned how to create an environment in which the students feels as if they can succeed. Outside of tutoring, I love to exercise, invest in the stock market and learn how to code (I am currently learning Python and R). It is important to realize that in learning, there isn't a single successful way. Rather, each student is unique and their path to success is too.

I am a graduate of Boston University (BU) as of 2012, and I recently graduated from Tufts University in 2014. I have received my Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from BU, and I have earned my Masters of Science degree in the same field at Tufts. I currently work as a research scientist in Cambridge studying therapies for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. My tutoring experience stems from my involvement in the National Honor Society at Xaverian Brothers High School where I tutored Freshman and Sophomore classes in our mathematics and science, specifically Algebra, Calculus and Biology. Furthermore, after being inducted in the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society at BU, I led tutoring sessions specifically geared to Engineering principles such as mechanics, physics, and mathematics. As an engineer, my favorite subjects to study are High School to College Mathematics as well as the Sciences (Physics, Chemisty, Biology) because it gives the mind a great workout! I am a generally upbeat and motivated individual which is essentially translated to my tutoring strategies; if you can somehow make the subject engaging, the more chances the student will want to learn the material! I enjoy that "A-ha!" moment when the student fully and finally understands a concept! In my spare time, I am a competitive ballroom dancer, theater aficionado and a scientific researcher in biomedical engineering!

I am a graduate of the University of Florida. I have a Bachelors of Science in Statistics and a minor in Business. I have always had a great fondness for math in particular. Not just learning its intricacies and apply it but teaching it as well. It was in high school that I realized I had a particular knack for helping others understand things about math that they previously had always had trouble figuring out. I began tutoring friends and then friends of friends and family during college before working in a more professional capacity as far as tutoring mathematics goes.Over my years of helping students understand math, I have learned what strategies work best in achieving that. No matter what the subject is as far as math goes, I make sure that the student knows the how and why of every step of the problem. Math much of the time builds upon itself, so not only is it critical to their current success but also their success when it comes to future math concepts. In my free time, I enjoy reading, television, computer games, bike riding, and music. I have learned guitar and am currently working on teaching myself how to play the keyboard.
