I am currently a rising junior and a part of the Scholars (Honors) Program at Binghamton University. I am planning on obtaining a BS in Integrative Neuroscience upon graduation and continuing onto medical school or graduate school for Neuropharmacology. I have tutored many high school students from NYC in different areas of math including Trigonometry, Algebra I, SAT Math, and ACT Math. I have also tutored college students in general Chemistry. I love tutoring pretty much any type of high school math as I find math fun in general. I particularly like tutoring Algebra and Trigonometry best because I enjoy analyzing different types of functions and how to manipulate them. In addition, I also have a passion for Biology and Chemistry and after taking Organic Chemistry, my appreciation for these subjects has grown immensely. After I came to the States, I helped my friends' children to learn Mandarin during the summer of 2012. They were two 7 and 9 year-old brothers, both American Born Chinese. Their parents wanted them to speak Mandarin. After that summer, the boys can communicate in Mandarin. I enjoyed my tutoring with these children. It makes me feel fulfilling and I find myself can be very patient and effective with my students in language learning. Also my students seems to have a lot of fun in learning, because I used some fun ways instead of just teaching textbook.Languages are complicated subjects. I like to make different plans for different students, focus on what they are weak in or want to learn most, and use various methods to achieve our goal.In my spare time, I like reading books, watching movies, running and singing. I used to go to karaoke all the time with my friends when I was in China. (Speaking of Friends, that is my favorite TV series. The six gave me great joy. But most of all, they were always loyal and honest with each other. That's what I learned from them.)

I am a graduate of Birzeit University with a B.S. in Chemistry and a graduate student at University of Saint Joseph where I am actively working on receiving my Master's degree. As a student, I spent time tutoring the underclassmen in various subjects with a large focus around chemistry. I have always been passionate in chemistry and love to spend hours in the lab conducting experiments. So I was always excited to tutor students to share that love in chemistry I had with them. After receiving my bachelors degree, I have spent time working in industry as a research scientist in a polymer chemistry lab.
