The GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is one of several obstacles you will have on your journey to acceptance into a business school. Whether you are a student or a working professional prepping for the GMAT, you may not know where to begin the review process.
A Las Vegas GMAT course could be just the kind of assistance you need to help you review for the test. Led by a qualified instructor, you can enjoy talking to other students collaboratively online if you choose to opt into this option. Varsity Tutors gives you a better idea of the structure and the content of the test.
When you apply to a business school like the University of Nevada, Las Vegas - Lee Business School or New Mexico Highlands University, your GMAT score is one of the factors the school will consider when deciding whether or not to grant acceptance into their program. The test is made up of four sections where you will have to demonstrate your performance to do various tasks. Your test score shows how you might perform in the classroom, so it is important that you prepare yourself to do the best you can on the test.
What could a Las Vegas GMAT class help me review?
The GMAT is made up of four parts: Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning. The questions on the exam are a mix of multiple choice and essay questions. The test is 3.5 hours long. You will need to have a variety of skills to be able to answer the questions, so it's important you find a Las Vegas GMAT class to help you be better prepared. Let's look a little closer at each of the sections and the kinds of questions you will see on the test.
The first section is the Analytical Writing Assessment. It measures your critical thinking and written English communication. You will read an argument, and you will examine the reasoning behind it. Some of the skills you need for this section include being able to evaluate arguments, organizing and developing ideas, and planning responses. You will also need to know how to support your evaluation by using examples or reasons. Working quickly for this part of the test is essential since you only have 30 minutes to write the essay.
Next is the Integrated Reasoning section. It will ask you to solve complex problems using data given to you. You will show how you can use your logic and analytical reasoning skills for this as well as evaluate data. You will integrate data from different sources and solve problems based on what you find. This section has four types of questions, including multi-source reasoning, table analysis, two-part analysis, and graphics interpretation. You will have 12 questions to answer in 30 minutes, so as in the first section, you will have to work quickly but efficiently.
Then you will have the Quantitative Reasoning section. It measures your skills by giving you two types of questions, such as problem-solving and data sufficiency. You will be able to show a business school how well you can use multiple sources to problem solve, organize and compare data, and synthesize information. If you score high on this section, you can show business schools how you can use information to make important decisions. You will have 62 minutes to answer 31 multiple-choice questions for this third part of the GMAT.
Lastly, the Verbal Reasoning section measures your critical reasoning and reading comprehension skills. You will read a passage for the critical reasoning part of this section, which will provide questions based on the passage. The questions will test your skills on how you can evaluate and construct plans of action or arguments. You will also read a short passage for the reading comprehension part of the Verbal Reasoning section. You will have to answer questions related to the passage. There are 35 multiple-choice questions for you to complete in 65 minutes.

Having a degree in chemistry with emphases in mathematics and environmental science, I am meticulous about understanding the material itself as well as understanding why the material applies to you in your own personal life. With this in mind, I hope I can assist you not only in bettering your grades, but also understanding the world around you.... The techniques would vary from student to student. For some students, a logic-based derivation of the material works best (mathematical proofs, scientific research, etc.), while for others, practical application in their everyday lives works best (using mathematics to do taxes, science behind vaccines, etc.), while still others work best with rogue practicing of problems (working problems at the end of chapter, creating new problems, etc.).
